- Bug report
-
- Crashing:
-
- Actually no Macintosh configuration is reported to crash with Mac Spectacle.
- Problems with multiple monitor environments should be fixed.
- You need a 68020 or higher CPU or a Power Macintosh, System 7.0 or higher
- and 32 bit color QuickDraw to run Mac Spectacle.
-
- Not yet supported:
-
- Versions higher than ZX Spectrum 48k
-
- Errors/known problems of the emulation:
-
- Fastest emulation (68k version only)
- • No ROM protection: Games which overwrite the ROM may crash
- • Fast bit test emulation: Some undocumented side effects are not
- emulated to speed up emulation. Causes problems in very rare cases
- (the little rhino error)
- • Fast DAA emulation: DAA may fail in very rare cases (Fred after
- leaving a pyramid); Programs doing nasty things with DAA related
- flags and the two unused flags may crash
- • No exact R register emulation: The R register is used as random
- generator. Some games which check the R register for critical
- timing purposes will crash (custom tape loading routines).
- • SP and PC may be incremented or decremented beyond RAM and ROM.
- • Block i/o instructions not supported
-
- Better emulation (68k version only)
- • Fast DAA emulation (see "fastest mode")
- • No exact R register emulation: (dito)
- • SP and PC may be incremented or decremented beyond RAM and ROM.
- • ROM may be overwritten using the stack
- • Block i/o instructions not supported
-
- Best emulation
- • Fewer illegal instructions implemented
